Review – Yellowstone Heart Song

I couldn’t resist a book that mixes time travel and romance, so I had to read it. “Yellowstone Heart Song” takes you back to a Yellowstone untouched by tourists. Aimee, our strong-willed heroine, does pretty well on her own until she falls off a cliff. That’s when Daniel Osborne saves her. The romance between Aimee and Daniel starts off rocky because Daniel dislikes women, especially white women, due to his past. They argue a lot, but Aimee knows she has to stay with him. Initially, it’s because Zach, the time traveler, will come back for her in three months, but eventually, it’s because she’s fallen in love with Daniel.

Their relationship is full of arguments. Aimee wants to explore on her own, while Daniel insists it’s dangerous. The time period might be different, but human nature isn’t. Aimee encounters both friendly and hostile Native-American tribes and experiences the pristine beauty of Yellowstone before it became a tourist hotspot. She even saves lives using her medical knowledge, which adds many tense moments to the story.

Despite all this, Aimee keeps her true identity a secret. After several lies, arguments, and a daring rescue, Daniel and Aimee finally come together. Aimee realizes their time together is limited, so she faces a big decision. As the story unfolds, more secrets are revealed that aren’t just hers.

Adaptation Recommendation

This story would be perfect for Lifetime or Hallmark, though they might have to tone down the love scene. It would make a fantastic romance film.

Overall Rating

“You had me at hello.”

Romance Rating

“Happiness in marriage is entirely a matter of chance.”
