We’re excited to introduce the new book selections for The Silver Petticoat Book Club’s Fall 2023 season!
The Silver Petticoat Book Club Fall 2023 Picks
We’ve got a fantastic mix of genres perfect for the fall and Halloween season, including historical fiction, fantasy, YA, romance, classics, and Romanticism. Before we dive into our book picks, we have a quick update on our club discussions. If you’re new to our club, we’ve got all the details you need to decide if you want to join us!
Every season, Amber and Autumn, the twin sisters behind The Silver Petticoat Review and The Silver Petticoat Book Club, select six book recommendations. Our club focuses on books that include love stories or elements of Romanticism like fantasy, fairy tales, gothic, and historical fiction. Amber and Autumn aim to pick books that spark a love of reading, whether it’s a fun, sensational read or a deep literary novel exploring human themes.
We ensure all our book selections fall on the lower end of the steaminess scale and avoid excessive gore, profanity, or explicit content. Some books might contain brief graphic elements or mild language, but these are not pervasive, and we provide content warnings.

Announcing New Book Selections
We usually announce our new book selections at the beginning of each season, but they can be revealed anytime during the season. You generally have a few months to choose and read the books before our discussions start. Feel free to add these books to your TBR pile anytime. You can also view all our previous picks on our official page, The Silver Petticoat Book Shop, or Goodreads.
Online Discussions and Social Media
Amber and Autumn lead discussions on Facebook and Goodreads, allowing plenty of time for members to read and share their thoughts on the books. Join the conversation by sharing what you liked and your overall impressions. Follow the hashtag TheSilverPetticoatBookClub and invite friends and family to join!
A Quick Update
Moving forward, book club discussions will be exclusively on our Facebook Group or Goodreads forums, and not on Instagram. We’ll still make announcements on Instagram and share related posts, but feel the discussion is best suited for the other platforms. We look forward to seeing you there!
