Lady Petra is the daughter of the Fifth Earl of Holbrook, an accomplished equestrienne, and a woman with her own fortune. After her fiancé’s death three years ago, she decided to live life on her own terms. When a friend’s suspicious death leads her to a mysterious physician, Petra’s investigation begins.
Connally drew inspiration from characters like Emma Woodhouse and Lady Edith from Downton Abbey, who are independent and capable. She hopes readers will enjoy Petra’s first adventure.
