The first season just teased their romance with amazing slow-building tension, thanks to the writers and actors. Thankfully, Seasons 2 and 3 promise even more romantic moments and captivating mysteries.<\/p>\n<p>ABOUT THE SHOW AND CAST<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Miss Scarlet and the Duke&#8221; is a MASTERPIECE Mystery series that struck a chord with almost 8 million viewers. Set in 19th century Victorian London, it features the first-ever female detective. Kate Phillips, known for her roles in &#8220;Peaky Blinders&#8221; and the &#8220;Downton Abbey&#8221; movie, plays Eliza Scarlet, an impatient and intelligent detective who takes over her father&#8217;s business after his tragic death. Despite being broke, and refusing to marry for money, Eliza is determined to run her own investigation business, even if it means clashing with her childhood friend and Scotland Yard Detective Inspector William Wellington, played by Stuart Martin from &#8220;Jamestown.&#8221; Together, even if reluctantly at first, Eliza and William tackle crimes and face danger while their attraction grows.<\/p>\n<p>The main cast also includes notable actors like Andrew Gower from &#8220;Poldark,&#8221; Kevin Doyle as Eliza\u2019s father Henry Scarlet, Ansu Kabia, and Cathy Belton.<\/p>\n<p>MISS SCARLET AND THE DUKE SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE<\/p>\n<p>After a long wait, &#8220;Miss Scarlet and the Duke&#8221; returned on October 16th, 2022, premiering at 8\/7c on MASTERPIECE on PBS. In the UK, it premiered earlier on June 14th, 2022, on Alibi. You can watch the entire season on PBS Passport or catch new episodes as they air on PBS and the PBS Masterpiece Amazon Channel.<\/p>\n<p>MISS SCARLET AND THE DUKE SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE &#038; WHERE TO WATCH<\/p>\n<p>Masterpiece announced in July 2022 that Season 3 would premiere on January 8, 2023, at 8\/7c on PBS. The episodes will follow a weekly release schedule and will also be available for streaming on PBS Passport. Interestingly, PBS released Season 3 early on November 24, 2022, on PBS Passport. Additionally, the series was officially renewed for Season 4.<\/p>\n<p>WHAT TO EXPECT IN SEASON 2<\/p>\n<p>Season 2&#8217;s trailer hints at more romantic tension between Eliza and William. In an interview with Masterpiece PBS, Kate Phillips talks about Eliza still working hard as a private detective and not letting anything, even the Duke, get in her way.
