These opinions are all mine, and Poesie Perfume also provided samples for a giveaway.

Jane Eyre is my go-to comfort book. The story, imagery, characters, and romance all resonate deeply with me. There’s something magical about being transported to another time and place by a book. For me, reading evokes memories of childhood summer days spent with books—no responsibilities or deadlines, just pure bliss.

Unfortunately, as adults, we often don’t have the luxury of time to read as we wish. That’s where the power of smell can be incredibly evocative, much like books. Scents can take us back to different places and times, stirring up vivid memories.

Imagine if a favorite book could be conjured with a scent. For fellow Jane Eyre lovers, there’s a delightful solution to carry that comfort around: the Jane Eyre-inspired perfume collection called “Thornfield” from Poesie Perfume. When Joelle Nealy, the perfumer from Poesie Perfume, approached me to review this collection, I was intrigued.

This collection promises beauty, comfort, style, and joy, encapsulated in perfumes inspired by Jane Eyre. Here are my thoughts on each fragrance:

1. Opening Chapter
This scent transports you to a cozy window seat with a favorite book and a cup of Darjeeling tea on a rainy day. The perfume has a mild, relaxing aroma without any strong chemical notes, making it suitable for daily wear.

2. Tiny Phantom
Evoking innocence and beauty, this scent brings to mind images of childhood, cotton candy, and flowers, without any fear. Notes include pink roses, marshmallow buttercream, pale musk, and antique mahogany.

3. Thornfield
This intense, fabulous scent has hints of burning wood and smoke, reminiscent of an old Gothic house. It’s ideal for a relaxing evening at home or in nature.

4. Bewitched
A lovely, magical perfume featuring yellow apple, clove, apricot, black pepper, vetiver, and cauldron smoke. Perfect for fairy tale enthusiasts and romantic moments.

5. Sir
A masculine scent with a blend of cognac, tobacco, leather, and hay, evoking warmth and charm. Great for someone looking to smell like Mr. Rochester.

6. Strange Unearthly Thing
Mild and beautiful, this perfume’s notes of moss, ivy, mushrooms, peach, and fairy flowers suit nature lovers. It evokes imagery of a magical forest.

7. Marble Kiss
A romantic scent that combines gorse blossom, pink marshmallow, sandalwood incense, and wedding flowers, ideal for those seeking a delightfully amorous fragrance.

8. No Bird
This perfume captures the essence of freedom with notes of blossoming heather, windswept moors, and dried leaves. It’s a unique scent that resonates with Jane Eyre’s spirit.

9. Myself Invisible
A tribute to Charlotte Brontë herself, this scent features stacked books, spilled ink, black tea, and shy forest violets. It’s a fitting homage to the author.

Overall, these vegan, cruelty-free perfume oils inspired by Jane Eyre are a testament to how literature can influence creativity in unique ways. If you love Jane Eyre, nature, fairy tales, or simply appreciate originality, this collection is sure to delight and inspire.

If you want to carry a piece of Jane Eyre with you, check out the “Thornfield” Perfume Collection.
