There’s a heated debate on whether Moroi should use their powers for self-defense. Amid the chaos and loss, Damphir Rose juggles protecting Lisa, her complicated feelings for her mentor Dimitri, unwanted attention from spirit user Adrian, and a potential relationship with classmate Mason.

Frostbite Book Review:
While the story of Frostbite feels a bit weaker than Vampire Academy, the series’ first book, it still delivers plenty of action and suspense, keeping things exciting. The book kicks off with a massacre and leads to even more shocking deaths, but the fun and light-hearted narration keep it from becoming too dark.

In my earlier review of Vampire Academy, I mentioned that Rose seemed somewhat shallow. In Frostbite, I was glad to see her character grow significantly. She remains impulsive and prone to making poor decisions, but she starts to take her responsibilities seriously and earn her own respect.

Frostbite also brings in several new characters. Janine Hathaway, Rose’s mother, is a top guardian who wasn’t around much during Rose’s childhood but is now ready to teach her valuable lessons. Adrian Ivashkov, a playboy Moroi with a special interest in Rose and Lisa, adds excitement to the story. I loved his nickname for Rose, “Little Damphir.”

Dimitri Belikov becomes even more irresistible through Rose’s eyes. An old friend of his shows special interest in him, threatening Rose’s hopes as Dimitri doesn’t seem to return her feelings. Despite this, they share incredibly romantic moments, like watching the sunrise on a snowy terrace. The connection between Rose and Dimitri is so strong that they’ve become one of my favorite book couples ever.

Overall, I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing what Richelle Mead has in store next for the characters at Vampire Academy.

The Book: Frostbite (Book 2 in the Vampire Academy series) Author: Richelle Mead Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy Romance, Paranormal Romance, Adventure Book Synopsis: The Moroi and Damphir community faces a…

[2

post-67","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-books
["GET
